Membership
Membership into the working group is on an individual basis and implies a commitment for active participation into presentations and discussions at the meetings, and preferably participation into working conferences. Membership is by invitation. Potential new members are invited to participate as observers into three group's meetings. This allows both parties to evaluate the interest of the new membership. After three meetings, the group may decide to invite the observer to become a member. The proposal for membership then proceeds to the parent committee (IFIP TC2) for formal approval. Membership term is unlimited, but membership may be dropped by the group if a member does not participate into three consecutive meetings. Persons may also be invited to participate into a single meeting. Persons interested in becoming an observer may contact the chairperson of the working group. |
