Michel Vanden Bossche's talk in the 3rd Ontobasis Workshop

Title: Ontology Driven Architecture for Business-Critical Software Construction
Approximate length: 30 minutes
Abstract: This presentation is about the leverage of Semantic Web technologies for Software Engineering, a topic that has triggered the creation of the “Task Force on Software Engineering” within W3C.

With ODASC (Ontology-Driven Architecture and Software Construction), Mission Critical combines OWL for conceptual modelling, with Mercury (a high performance “pure” logic/functional programming which provides real support for “programming in large”) for the construction of the solution.

Mission Critical (MC ) is a Software Consultancy Firm which applies Dijkstra’s “From Craft to Scientific Discipline” recommendation to the construction of real-life business-critical software.
