Jeltsen Peeters, Ph.D. In Educational Sciences, was a member of the Department of Educational Sciences, the research group BILD and the interuniversity research alliance IDEA. Her research interests involve educational innovation, self-regulated learning, synergies within formal and informal learning, and lifelong and adult learning. She was granted a PhD scholarship of Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) in 2011 and obtained her PhD in Educational sciences in 2015.
Jeltsen Peeters’ work focuses on depicting the main barriers and facilitators of the promotion of self-regulated learning through a multidimensional approach, in order stimulate and support teachers in implementing classroom practices that facilitate students’ use of effective self-regulated learning strategies. Her dissertation formed the basis for the recently funded Erasmus+ KA3 project tMAIL (Teacher Mobile Application for Innovative Learning). This project in turn could provide a strong starting point and foundation for research transfer and framework adaptation to corporate settings and workplace learning. She worked on the project from 01/02/2016 till 31/07/2018.
