About Me

My name is Álvaro Cortés and until September 2012 I was a researcher at the Web & Information System Engineering (WISE) Laboratory of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Previously I was a member of the department of mathematics & computer science of the University of Antwerp, Belgium.  I am interested in reasoning with incomplete information, logics for artificial intelligence and databases, and semistructured data models.
